FemSeven Conti patches: Tier 2 supply notification, resupply late November

12 October 2026

The Department of Health and Social Care issued Medicine Supply Notification MSN/2026/048 on 12 October 2026. It is a Tier 2, medium impact notice for FemSeven Conti (estradiol 50 micrograms and levonorgestrel 7 micrograms/24 hours) transdermal patches, which it says are out of stock until late November 2026.

What the notification names

The notice lists three combined HRT patches that remain available and can support increased demand. They are Evorel Conti (estradiol 50 micrograms/norethisterone 170 micrograms), Estradot Conti 30/95 (estradiol 30 micrograms/norethisterone 95 micrograms) and Estradot Conti 40/130 (estradiol 40 micrograms/norethisterone 130 micrograms). It adds that alternative hormone replacement therapy products remain available.

The notice sets out no clinical actions of its own. It points to the Medicines Supply Tool, which records changes to resupply dates and needs an NHS email address, and says new shortages not listed on the SPS website can be reported through CPE's shortage reporting tool.

HRT patches in the wider picture

This is the second HRT patch item in two weeks. On 2 October NHSBSA extended the Serious Shortage Protocols for Estradot 25, 50, 75 and 100 microgram patches to 8 January 2027, as covered in our note on the Estradot and Creon protocols. The Estradot protocols started in December 2024 for three strengths and in April 2025 for the fourth, so HRT patch supply has been under a protocol for most of two years. The dates on both pages are the ones to plan against.

At the dispensary

Late November is about six weeks from the notice. All three patches it names combine estradiol with norethisterone, where FemSeven Conti uses levonorgestrel, so a change is a prescriber's decision and a new prescription, never a straight swap at the counter. A revised resupply date will appear on the Medicines Supply Tool.
